An independent inspection is useful when its scope is agreed before the visit. The inspector needs the approved order revision, exact machines, objective checks, sampling or full-unit instructions, packing requirements and a clear rule for nonconformities.
Direct recommendation
Book the inspection only after MERI confirms readiness. Give the inspector the buyer-approved checklist and order documents, define evidence and defect handling, and keep payment or shipment-release decisions in the purchase agreement. Inspection fees, timing and agency selection are buyer/order decisions.

Procurement framework
| Control point | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Authority | Buyer appointment, factory contact and visit window |
| Reference | Purchase order, configuration revision, artwork and packing list |
| Coverage | Unit identity, quantity, condition, functions, documents and packaging |
| Evidence | Required photographs, video, measurements and signed report |
| Failure path | Containment, correction, reinspection and release authority |
Appoint the inspector independently
The buyer should define who the inspector represents, what access is permitted and who receives the report. MERI can coordinate site timing without changing the inspector’s acceptance criteria.
Send controlled references
Provide the latest order, model/configuration table, approved artwork, document list and packaging specification. Remove superseded versions so the inspector cannot pass the wrong baseline.
Write observable checks
Identify model and plates, engine or power system, cutter, controller, options and accessories. Define safe functional commands and expected responses rather than asking whether the machine works well.
Choose coverage deliberately
State whether every machine, selected units or packaging lots are checked. A sampling rule must suit the order and buyer’s risk; this page does not prescribe a universal acceptance level.
Control evidence
List required image angles, serial records, measurements, function clips and document copies. Protect private branding or confidential information in the agency agreement.
Plan a failed inspection
Define correction, containment, reinspection and shipment-release authority before the visit. A supplier correction note is not the same as independent re-verification.
Prepare these records
- Exact model, serial or planned configuration and order revision.
- Buyer, destination, quantities, dates and responsible contacts.
- Required documents, evidence, packaging, spares or training scope.
- Dated quotation or agreement covering commercial responsibilities.
