Remote Mower Selection by Daily Work Area — remote control lawn mower article

Area alone does not determine daily mower capacity. Two equal properties can require very different time because of vegetation density, slope, obstacles, access, overlap, turns, transport, inspection and weather. A procurement plan should build a site-specific timetable rather than multiplying nominal width by maximum speed.

Direct recommendation

Measure mowable area and divide it into representative zones. For each zone record cutting width, expected passes, vegetation, route, turns and interruptions. Compare 800, 1000 and 1200 mm model families only after access and cutting-system fit are confirmed. Treat field observations as scenario inputs, not guaranteed hectares per hour.

Map net mowable area

Separate open runs, narrow rows, slope faces, edges and obstacle-dense sections. Remove areas that must not be cut. The total property size is not the working area and should not be used directly in an output claim.

Use effective pass width

Nominal 800, 1000 or 1200 mm cutting width is not always the effective covered width. Route alignment, overlap, curves and missed edges affect passes. Record the planned path and derive distance from the actual zone geometry.

Estimate travel only after material review

Published travel capability is not a cutting speed guarantee. Vegetation, finish, slope, surface and turns determine an appropriate operating method. Use a controlled observation on representative ground to establish a planning range.

Add non-cutting activities

Include loading, unloading, site survey, daily inspection, refuelling or charging where applicable, cleaning, tool checks, relocation and weather stoppage. A wider machine may reduce passes while adding access or transport constraints.

Build conservative, normal and difficult scenarios

Change documented inputs rather than inventing one efficiency percentage. Show which assumption controls the result and keep a reserve for unexpected vegetation or route conditions.

Review fleet strategy

A contractor may need one compact machine for access and another wider machine for open work. Compare utilisation and logistics with the cost of forcing one model through every zone. Final commercial values belong in the quotation, not an unsupported public calculator.

Inputs to provide before selection

  • Exact task, site measurements and representative photos or video.
  • Terrain, vegetation, access, turns, weather and required finish.
  • Daily work window, service capability and destination.
  • Functions and options that must be confirmed in the quotation.

Buyer FAQ

Does one component or specification determine suitability?

No. The complete configuration, site, process and operating conditions must be reviewed together.

Can an option image or demonstration prove every function?

No. Confirm installed hardware, documented functions and test conditions for the ordered machine.

What remains before publication?

Final factual review, working links, current documents, desktop and mobile visual checks, and form verification.

Review the exact site and configuration

Send measured inputs so MERI can identify the relevant models, options and evidence.
