A sample order should answer a defined commercial question. It is not enough to receive one machine and decide whether it “looks good.” Importers need a frozen configuration, representative tests, an evidence record, a service review and a clear decision about what must change before a larger order.
Direct recommendation
Write the success criteria before requesting a quote. Select the exact machine and options, define inspection and delivery scope, prepare a representative site test, capture results and defects, and issue a written sample decision. Sample price, availability, lead time and credit policy are quotation terms, not assumptions.

Buyer decision framework
| Control point | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Commercial question | Target customer, application and planned channel |
| Sample baseline | Exact model, options, spares, labels and documents |
| Acceptance | Identity, condition, functions and supplied evidence |
| Field evaluation | Named terrain, vegetation, operator and repeatable checks |
| Scale-up decision | Accept, correct, retest or reject with recorded reasons |
Start with a target customer
State whether the sample supports a dealer launch, rental evaluation, contractor fleet or private-label project. The use case determines the machine and what evidence matters.
Freeze the sample configuration
Record the engine or battery system, cutting assembly, control, actuator, attachments, colour, spares, documents and packaging. Photograph rating and engine plates at receipt.
Define the pre-shipment check
Agree what the factory will record before packing and whether the buyer or a third party will inspect. Keep appearance, quantity, function and document checks as separate acceptance items.
Design representative field tests
Use measured slope, access, vegetation and operating time relevant to the intended market. Follow the delivered instructions. Do not substitute one dramatic video for repeated observations under documented conditions.
Assess service readiness
Identify routine maintenance items, wear tools, engine parts, tracks, controls and diagnostic information. Ask how the serial/configuration record maps to replacement parts.
Write the scale-up report
List pass results, defects, requested corrections, unresolved risks and any configuration change. A changed production machine needs a new approval reference rather than silently inheriting the sample result.
