Snow blower or snow plow: choose for the snow and site

A snow plow pushes snow into a planned storage area. The ME-RS snow blower collects and discharges it away from the route. Compare snow depth and condition, clearing frequency, available pile space and the working surface before choosing a package.

Choose around your working task

01

Routine light snow and open routes

Start with a compatible snow plow when the job is regular pushing on a straightforward route with enough room to pile the cleared snow.

02

Deeper snow and limited pile space

Compare the ME-RS auger snow blower when accumulation is deeper, repeated snowbanks restrict the route, or snow needs to be discharged beyond the available pile area.

03

Specify the route and the attachment

Send typical and maximum snow depth, snow condition, clearance width, surface, obstacles and where the snow can go. Match the attachment, traction and pass plan to those details.

Choose using the actual snow depth and condition, clearing frequency, surface and route. A snow blower moves snow differently from a plow; it is not simply another mower attachment.

Questions before you choose

When should I choose a snow plow rather than a snow blower?

A compatible plow is a practical starting choice for routine light snowfall and simple routes with a usable snow-storage area. Compare the actual snow load, traction, blade clearance and pushing direction.

When is a snow blower a better starting choice?

Consider ME-RS when accumulation is deeper, pile space is limited or snow must be discharged away from the cleared route. Specify the snow condition and the discharge zone so the machine and pass plan fit the work.

Can every MERI mower carry a front and rear snow plow?

The gasoline and diesel 24 V / 48 V mower series have front or rear snow plow options. T-Series models support a front snow plow only. The plow is specified separately for the selected base machine.
